While the One Club “pencil has been a symbol of the organization for many years, the logotype was developed over 20 years ago and designed to represent the most recognizable tool of the trade as well as to symbolize the creative process of art and copy employed by its practitioners.
However, in a tech-enabled world enhanced by design, “art and “copy have been amplified by “image and “content. The new identity and design guidelines we developed celebrate the heritage of the Pencil, and build upon The One Club’s 20 year old brand asset, while opening it up to allow it to represent greatness, evolve it beyond a tool for art and copy, and make it a window through which remarkable creativity in all forms of communication may be celebrated. In this manner, it embraces and anticipates new forms of content, interactivity, design, video, film and other communication media.
